What are
pokerbots?
Simplified explanation, to get an understanding, of what a
Pokerbot does.
Pokerbots are programs which makes it possible for the
pokerbrain to automate the decision the pokerbrain gives
directly to the pokerclient table by selecting the
corresponding button (Folc, Check, Call, Raise). The
pokerbrains tells you to bet and the pokerbot moves your mouse
and clicks on the bet button. But the pokerbot can do more for
you! Some pokerbots has special features built in like table
hopping, sit out, or leave the table after you have won a
certain amount of money. Also some bots are able to type text
into the chat window to make the player believe you’re a human
playing or sometimes the bot clicks the button after a delay of
2 secs. And the next time maybe he clicks the button in 1 sec.
This to keep no betting pattern visible to the other players.
Using a pokerbot is very, very handy indeed. It means that you
can have your computer automatically play online poker while
you are disturbed by a phone call or have to leave suddenly to
do something else . Also it gets never tired. Great for when
you have some bonus pending for release and you have to play 4
tables a time for three hours to have this juicy $500 bonus
released in your account. You fire up your pokerbrain, select
an bonus play safe and tight profile (GrinderT). Sit down at
four tables, put the bot on auto pilot and off you go. Just an
case scenario. There is something you should know about using a
pokerbot. Som pokersite perceive it as some kind of cheating or
some kind of unfair advantage. I have to disagree with them. It
is the same technology pokersites use to shuffle the deck of
cards. To have fast and randomly shuffling the deck to make
sure every player gets random cards to play with and also to
make sure that the fastest amount of play time can be generated
for the rake they charge you for playing poker. Their other
reasoning is that the bots are an unfair advantage to other
players. What unfair advantage they are talking about? I play
with my pokerbrain and pokerbot the same game of poker the
other opponents are playing. I don’t see their cards, I do not
phone or instant message my buddy who is at the table playing.
I do not play in a group of players and switch account and
enter jointly big tournaments to increase the change of winning
as a group. Pokerbotters are at the tables occupying an seat,
contribute to the game continuity and have the same bad beats,
lucky streaks like other players. And also from a philosophical
point of views might well be, why should bots be discriminated
in the participating of the online poker community. Bots have
feelings too. They surely want to win as much as we do and hate
losing as much as we do! If I would play against a bot I would
love it to exploit it weaknesses, learn from it, try to beat
it, do anything possible to get him all-in. What a joy and
positive contribution to the pokercommunity this new breed of
pokerplayers. And if you can’t beat them…thats right…join them!
And at pokerbrains.net your at the right place for it. ;)
Becasue, after all, a pokerbot is as good as it pokerrbains let
him be. That is why you need well designed poker playing
profiles to give the poker bot the right decision to make.
Another great option some poker bots have is the table hopping
feature some bot posesses.... This is one of the latest and
greatest addition into the poker bot concept. Assume your at a
table playing with ten players. You take down a few pots and a
few more. The other players donot feel so lucky anymore and
decide to sit out or leave the table. However, you prefer to
play the full 10 handed ring game. This is where the great bot
program come into play. It waits a few hands to see if the
player are coming back. If not the bot leaves the table (taking
your profits with you) and start to look for another table
defined by some criterias you have told him to. Like, the bot
sits down on a table with a minimum of 8 players, the game must
be fixed limit holdem with 1-2 blinds. The bot looks in the
poker lobby to find the table according to these criteria and
sits down, wait for the big blind and continue his play for you
on the new table.
The smart way to play is what some player like to call
it!
